A report for India from Joy Davidson.

We were contacted by the International Co-ordinator of Lydia Fellowship International regarding

a Pastor and his wife who were interested in Lydia. When she looked at her atlas it seemed they

lived quite close to us. It transpired that they live only an hour away from us by bus! They came

to visit us and as we shared about the call and work of Lydia Fellowship, they asked if we would

visit their women’s prayer meeting to introduce Lydia the following week. We went and had a

wonderful time. Through the course of the meeting, two of the women received a prayer burden

for the lost and one received a greater power in prayer. This kind of praying was new to them.

Afterwards we were able to pray with three women and the Lord met with them in special ways

too. As one young mother forgave her in-laws and invited Him into her heart, God instantly

removed the pain she had from her recent breast cancer operation. The Lord has really opened

up the heart of this pastor and his wife to Lydia Fellowship International and they are

anticipating that they will be able to encourage many people to listen to the Lord and pray His

plans and purposes through Scriptures ‘the Lydia way’. The pastor is responsible for women and

children’s ministry in all of Kanyakumari District for a well established Anglican-type

denomination. It felt very good to go into their well-constructed church building and to find that

there are many men, women and children serving the Lord through the Church in many different

ways and that this has been going on for many decades, and their heart to seek and save the lost

is still very much evident.
