“I have fought a good fight: I have finished the course; I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day…..”   2Tim.4:8

Our dearly beloved Campbell has indeed fought a good fight.  From the moment he knew the Lord he never wavered in his resolve to serve Him, and he did so faithfully and with gladness all the days of his life.   He has faithfully kept the faith, loving and worshiping God every day, and now he has successfully finished the course the Lord gave him to run, and we, with all the angels of Heaven, can rejoice at his glorious homecoming!!

Campbell fought valiantly and faithfully for the ministry of Lydia Fellowship International.  He loved the vision of Lydia and he dedicated himself wholeheartedly all his life to it and to those he called “his precious Lydians”.   He never sought a position.  He simply served as a loving husband and advisor to Shelagh, and as a faithful and loving father to the women God called into this ministry.  There isn’t a Lydian who has not been blessed by his prayers, his love, and his friendship.  Nor is there one of us who has not benefited from his marvelous insight and teachings.

Let us praise the Lord, therefore, for blessing us with the life of Campbell McAlpine, a man of God, and let us rejoice, that he has received his crown of glory!

“Well done good and faithful servant!!”
